Because when vaping, the liquid will never reach or come close to the very high temperatures to
which it was subjected in the experiment. Let’s keep two things in mind: The first is that both
glycerin and Propylene Glycol are substances suitable for human consumption, which, in fact,
are used in various processes in the food industry.
And the second is that, in the event that the device raises the temperature of the liquid, up to the
levels proposed in the study, we would not go beyond a first puff, since the steam would cause
serious injuries to the mouth and throat, due to at the high temperature.
Because we use devices equipped with batteries, clearomizers, coils and chargers that are
suitable and compatible with each other , to avoid malfunctioning of the device as a whole. In a
previous post, we have made reference to the dangers to which we are exposed by not properly
maintaining our device and the use of chargers and batteries not recommended by the
manufacturer of our electronic cigarette. Even before the publication of this study, we knew that
poor hygiene and the use of non-recommended accessories pose serious health risks.
Is the study conclusive?
No way . On the contrary, due to the reasons that we have exposed, the results of the report only
serve to verify that, the subjection of two components of the liquid for vaping – Glycerin and
Propylene Glycol – to very high temperatures (temperatures that do not occur while vaping)
, with poor quality devices, predisposed for this to happen and in exceptional circumstances that
can hardly be reproduced in reality, it favors the appearance of 31 toxic chemical compounds.
Because never, during vaping, would we have uninterrupted “duffs” of more than five
seconds each, for five minutes. 60 puffs in five minutes and each one of five seconds, are
unreal and unrepeatable circumstances, unless it is for someone who intends to demonstrate
that, in very… but very extreme circumstances, certain toxic substances can be produced.
Of course, the study, its results and the way it was carried out are biased and misleading. From
this space, we assure without fear of doubt that the only substance harmful to health that is
ingested when vaping is nicotine and, of course, its concentration is a decision of the Vaper.
Likewise, let us remember that, although the majority of vapers use nicotine, the philosophy and
raison d’être of the electronic cigarette will always be that the vaper progressively decreases the
consumption of nicotine. We will be attentive to other studies that provide us with greater light on
the subject. We remind you that so far, no negative health effects from electronic cigarettes have
been shown. We will continue to be attentive to the different publications that appear and we will
gladly comment on them for our readers
