Many people are starting to vape these days. While vaping can be an alternative to smoking, the laws regarding when and where it is permissible to vape are not always clear. Karachi Vapers conducted a study to determine what people consider to be socially acceptable and unacceptable when vaping in public. Although there are no public vaping etiquette laws in place for everyone in the vaping sector to observe, we believe there are some unwritten standards that everyone should be aware of. While they are only guidelines, they are a decent starting point for what could be considered excellent vaping etiquette. The more vapers who practice proper vaping etiquette, the more accepted and commonplace vaping will become, improving its public image.
RULE 01: PERMISSION – ASK FIRST
In our opinion, the very first rule of vaping etiquette is to always ask for permission before vaping. This is true for any indoor (and some outdoor) area you visit with your vaporizer. The courteous thing to do in a bar, restaurant, or office is to ask whether you can vape or not.
RULE 02: AVOID CROWDED PLACES
In 2022, vaping in a crowded location is strictly prohibited. Because vaping produces a significant cloud of water vapor, vaping in a crowd may offend a large number of people. As a result, it’s ideal if you vape in an outside location with few people, or if you wait until you get home.
RULE 03: MINIMUM PLUMES OF VAPOUR
While smoking the biggest clouds possible is encouraged in vaping contests, limiting plumes of vapor to a minimum when you’re out and about in the real world is better. This is because they may end up violating a person’s personal space and making them feel as if you directly blasted the vapor in their face, which is always disrespectful no matter where you reside. So, when you’re out and about, practice excellent vaping etiquette and keep your clouds to a minimum.
RULE 04: AVOID VAPE IN PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Unless your employer has provided authorization, refrain from vaping in business settings. If you are attending a job interview or a challenging business meeting, it is best to remove everything that may distract you from the meeting. When you use a vape, you may appear preoccupied, and coworkers and employers may conclude you are not engaged in the task at hand; the same principles apply to Zoom.
RULE 05: AVOID AGGRESSIVENESS
This guideline is vital because no one wants to be lectured. Smokers, like you, have the freedom to do what they think is proper, which includes smoking cigarettes. However, if they are intrigued about why you vape and the potential benefits of vaping, express your point of view without lecturing them and educate and inform them.
