One of the most frequent problems that individuals run into is their vapes leaking, especially
when they first start vaping. Although some tanks available on the market are less prone to
leaking, any tank can leak in the "wrong" situation.
No matter what the cause of a leak is, there is almost always a simple fix for it. Today, I'm going
to try to help you figure out what the problem is and hopefully solve it.
Juice does not just emerge out of thin air; it has to come from somewhere. Most of the time, you
won't notice a leak in your tank until it enters the airflow.
Depending on the cause, leakage can involve just a few e-liquid drops or the messiest
conceivable spill of your full tank's contents all over your vape.
The following are the top 5 fixes for a leaky vape:
Make sure you're correctly filling your vape tank
Failure to properly fill the tank is by far the most frequent cause of a leaky vape. Never overfill
the tank, and always refer to the manual for instructions on how to do so.
To generate a vacuum, there should always be a pocket of air at the top. This will block the e-
liquid from dripping from your tank's ventilation holes.
Check Your O- Rings
O-rings will unavoidably wear down over time, get stiff and brittle, or even become torn up by
taking the tank out to swap out the coils. Make sure to examine the seals when you are
troubleshooting a leaking issue.
Replace your vaporizer's coil or pod
The lifespan of your coil is another factor that could be contributing to your vape's leakage.
There may be additional indications that your vape coil is nearing the end of its useful life before
the dreaded dry hit even happens.
You should probably attempt this first if your tank is leaking and you haven't replaced it in a
long.
Incorrect Wattage
Running a coil above or below the suggested power range might also result in a coil burning. A
coil may dry out before it can wick enough juice to refill it if it is operated above the
recommended range.
The juice may not be vaporized as quickly if it is operated at a lower wattage; instead, it may
soak into the coil, causing it to run "wet" and leak varying quantities of juice.
Check for Cracks
Glass with a little hairline, flaws are easily susceptible to e-liquid seepage. When that occurs,
your tank needs replacement glass.
Fortunately, most companies now provide extra vape glasses, which can be purchased for as
low as 99p. You might even discover an extra glass in the packing your tank was shipped in.
Put one of them on, and you're ready to go.
